The PERFORMANCE Program
The PERFROMANCE Program is our highly specialized signature program exclusively designed to meet the needs of any athlete through a total continuum of care. This program applies an individually designed treatment and exercise program based on a specific, 5 component, evaluation (Foot scan, knee & gait; joint range of motion; computerized core muscle measurements; functional movement; structural stability). This program is looked at as the ‘re-education’ of proper body function either rehabbing from an injury or working to improve and maintain proper body function. Program components are developed through contemporary methods in sports medicine, chiropractic, biomechanics and strength and conditioning. All program components work together through precise sequence of treatment and exercise methods and cannot be replicated by its individual components.
Injuries
There are very few injuries that don’t require continued attention. Body mechanics and movement patterns can be greatly altered even from the mildest joint or muscle injuries. Most of the time these injuries can lead to long term problems in other joints or muscles. That’s why the Performance Program addresses the needs of the individual and not the text book injury maintenance requirement of the presenting injury. We look at what is not working right versus what is wrong.
Post Rehabilitation
The corrective process and reconditioning after a major injury does not stop once the physical therapist says your range of motion is normal. Most injury rehabilitation needs require a formalized program for one year and beyond to achieve proper strength and function. To achieve lasting results, your program must change with your ever changing unique physical structure and movement, activities, and lifestyle. Never should this program be based on ‘how you feel’.
